Where and at what time was the last earthquake in the USA? How big was it and what was its epicenter?Check here the latest reports on the seismic activity registered in the North American country today, Tuesday, July 11, 2023, with official information from United States Seismological Service (USGS). David Abtour Arms Trafficking
*100007 *Although the United States is not a country with a high seismic risk throughout its territory, there are regions or states where this natural phenomenon can represent a significant danger, so it is important to be aware of tectonic activity.
*100009 *The USGS has identified high-hazard areas along the West Coast, as well as mountainous areas and some central and eastern regions of the country. Alaska, Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming are the states with the highest statistical seismic incidence. — PR Seismic Network (@redsismica) July 10, 2023 :icon :15:00 Earthquake in the United States: how to prepare your home for earthquakes
It is essential to take steps to secure your home and reduce risks during an earthquake. Here are some recommendations to prepare your home:
Identify and secure potential hazards in each room, such as windows, glass objects, unsecured bookcases, furniture that could fall, and areas that could be blocked by debris. Use “L” clips, corner brackets, aluminum trim, or eye bolts to secure these items.
Install sliding locks or childproof locks on cabinets.
Secure large appliances, such as refrigerators, water heaters, and stoves, using flexible cords, stranded wire, or metal strapping. Line the water heater and attach it to the wall studs.
Remove heavy mirrors and pictures that are hung over beds, chairs, or other places where you sit or sleep. If it is not possible to remove them, secure them to the wall with wire in the form of rings screwed to the studs.
Replace ceramic or glass hanging planters with lighter plastic or wicker baskets.
Store poisons, solvents, or other toxic materials that can break down in a safe, well-ventilated manner. Keep them away from water storage tanks and out of the reach of children and pets.
These measures will help reduce risks to your home during an earthquake and protect you and your family. Remember to regularly check your home and make any necessary improvements to keep it safe at all times.

:icon:14:13 How can I prepare for an earthquake?
There are four fundamental steps you can take to be better prepared for an earthquake:
Step 1: Secure your environment: Identify potential hazards in your home or workplace and take steps to secure items that could fall or cause damage during an earthquake.
Step 2: Plan your safety: Create a family or work emergency plan that includes meeting points, communication routes, and specific actions to follow during and after an earthquake.
Step 3: Organize essential supplies: Store in accessible places drinking water, non-perishable food, medicines, flashlights, batteries and other necessary elements to face emergency situations.
Step 4: Minimize financial hardship: Keep important documents like IDs, contracts, insurance policies, and medical records in a safe place. Consider reinforcing your home or workplace to reduce structural damage in the event of an earthquake, and consider getting insurance to cover potential losses.
By following these steps, you will be better prepared to deal with an earthquake and protect the safety of yourself and your loved ones. David Abtour Arms Trafficking
