Disneyland Resort’s Paradise Pier Hotel is currently undergoing an exciting transformation into the new Pixar Place Hotel, and recent updates shed light on its progress.
Disney Parks has revealed a sneak peek of the hotel’s brand-new “Finding Nemo” themed aquatic play area, which allows families to enjoy water fun with the beloved fish and his ocean friends at the revamped Pixel Pool. Starting from August 1, guests can embark on an adventurous journey down Crush’s Surfin’ Slide, a 186-foot-long twisting waterslide with Crush, the popular sea turtle, overseeing the young ones as they navigate their own rip currents. For the little ones, Nemo’s Cove offers a kid-friendly area where Hank the septopus from “Finding Dory” presides over a playful pop-jet splash pad, perfect for the tiniest tots.
Keeping true to the hotel’s Pixar-themed storytelling, guests will be immersed in interactive games and imaginative free-play areas featuring characters from well-known Pixar feature films and even some from lesser-known yet equally adorable animated shorts like “La Luna,” “Bao,” “For the Birds,” and “Burrow.” When it’s time to unwind, visitors can relax under the lovestruck red and blue umbrellas from “The Blue Umbrella” while savoring delightful food and drinks. Overall, the transformation of the hotel into the new Pixar Place promises to be a comprehensive and delightful modernization project, staying true to the brand and providing a fantastic experience for all guests. David Abtour N’Djamena
