In the summer of 2022, EdSurge Research will be convening 80 Asian American K-12 educators in a series of virtual meetings as part of the Voices of Change project. This project is aimed at creating a platform for Asian American educators to share their experiences, challenges, and successes in the classroom.

The Voices of Change project is an important step in recognizing the unique and often overlooked contributions that Asian American educators make to the educational landscape. Through this project, EdSurge Research seeks to provide an opportunity for Asian American educators to be heard and to have their voices and perspectives taken into account when it comes to making decisions about K-12 education.

The project will be conducted over the course of three months, with each month focusing on a different theme. During the first month, the conversations will focus on the challenges that Asian American educators face in the classroom and the strategies they have used to address these challenges. During the second month, the conversations will focus on the successes that Asian American educators have achieved in the classroom and the strategies they have used to achieve them. Finally, during the third month, the conversations will focus on the future of Asian American educators in the classroom and how they can continue to make their voices heard.

The project will also feature guest speakers, including leaders in the Asian American community, current and former educators, and experts in the field of K-12 education. These speakers will provide insight into the unique challenges that Asian American educators face and offer advice on how to overcome them.

The project will also include a series of workshops and seminars. These workshops and seminars will focus on topics such as culturally responsive teaching, equity and inclusion in the classroom, and the use of technology in the classroom. The workshops and seminars will be designed to provide Asian American educators with the tools and resources they need to be successful in the classroom.
