However, concerns arose when he recently shared some photos on Twitter (which have now been deleted), revealing a seemingly serious condition.
Chimaev shared a photo of him where it can be seen that the fighter is suffering from a skin infection. he had a swollen face, rashes on his skin, reddened eyes, and even rested on a hospital bed. The situation was dire for the undefeated warrior because in the past he was recovering from COVID-19 and had to undergo surgery to recover. Mant MMA personalities even believed that he had recovered from the surgery.
However, seems like the Emriti is not willing to give up on his dreams yet. Chimaev has recently uploaded a story on his Instagram handle where he can be seen having a playful wrestling session with his friends just before going to the hospital. “Borz” captioned it in Russian which translates to “5-0 my license to Olympics”. Chimaev was promised that if he were to defeat Kamaru Usman at UFC 294 then he would get a direct route to the middleweight title against Sean Strickland, however, injury stopped the fighter from progressing further and Dricus Du Plessis clinched the title shot.
