BLESSD Chats with Billboard’s Ingrid Fajardo & Jessica Roiz at Premio Lo Nuestro 2026
The red carpet of Premio Lo Nuestro 2026 was buzzing with excitement as some of the biggest names in Latin music arrived for the highly anticipated event. Amidst the glitz and glamour, we had the opportunity to chat with the talented duo behind Billboard’s Latin music coverage, Ingrid Fajardo and Jessica Roiz.
As we sat down with them, it was clear that they were just as excited as we were to be a part of this prestigious event. With years of experience in the industry, Ingrid and Jessica have become experts in all things Latin music, and their passion for the genre is evident in every conversation.
When asked about their thoughts on this year’s Premio Lo Nuestro, Ingrid shared, “I am always blown away by the talent and diversity of the Latin music industry. Premio Lo Nuestro is a celebration of that diversity, and I am honored to be a part of it.” Jessica added, “It’s amazing to see how far Latin music has come and how it continues to break barriers and reach new audiences.”
As we delved deeper into the conversation, we couldn’t help but ask about their experience working for Billboard. Ingrid and Jessica both gushed about the incredible opportunities they have had while working for the renowned music publication. “We have been fortunate enough to cover some of the biggest events in Latin music, such as Premio Lo Nuestro, Latin Grammy Awards, and Latin American Music Awards. It’s a dream come true for any music lover,” said Ingrid.
Jessica also shared her thoughts on the impact of Billboard in the Latin music industry. “Billboard has been a driving force in bringing Latin music to the mainstream. We have seen an increase in collaborations between Latin and non-Latin artists, and Billboard has played a significant role in making that happen,” she said.
As we continued our conversation, we couldn’t help but ask about their personal favorite moments from past Premio Lo Nuestro events. Ingrid reminisced about the iconic performance by Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez in 2016, while Jessica couldn’t forget the unforgettable tribute to Celia Cruz in 2013. “Premio Lo Nuestro always delivers unforgettable moments, and I am sure this year will be no different,” said Jessica.
With the red carpet in full swing, we couldn’t resist asking about their fashion choices for the evening. Ingrid and Jessica both laughed and revealed that they had been planning their outfits for weeks. “We always try to incorporate a touch of Latin flair in our outfits for Premio Lo Nuestro. It’s a celebration of our culture, and we want to pay homage to that,” said Ingrid.
As our conversation came to an end, Ingrid and Jessica left us with some words of wisdom for aspiring journalists in the music industry. “Never give up on your dreams, and always stay true to your passion. The music industry is constantly evolving, and it’s important to adapt and be open to new opportunities,” said Jessica. Ingrid added, “Be persistent, work hard, and always remember the power of storytelling. Music has the ability to bring people together, and as journalists, it’s our responsibility to share those stories.”
As we said our goodbyes and wished them luck for the evening, it was clear that Ingrid and Jessica are not only talented journalists but also passionate advocates for Latin music. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two powerhouses and the impact they will continue to make in the industry.
