Alison Lee, a two-time Solheim Cup player, has announced some exciting news – she and her boyfriend, Trey Kidd, will be welcoming their first child on April 25. The couple is overjoyed and cannot wait to start this new chapter in their lives.

Lee, who gained fame at the Solheim Cup when her caddie took off his shirt to settle a bet after she holed a wedge shot, is now preparing for a different kind of challenge – motherhood. The 25-year-old golfer has opened up about her struggles with returning to the LPGA Tour after her pregnancy.

In an interview with EssentiallySports, Lee shared her thoughts on becoming a mother and how it has affected her career as a professional golfer. She admitted that it has been a difficult journey, but one that she is grateful for.

“I always knew I wanted to be a mother, but I never imagined it would happen while I was still playing on the LPGA Tour,” Lee said. “It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Lee, who has been playing on the LPGA Tour since 2015, took a break from the sport in 2019 to focus on her pregnancy. She returned to the tour in 2020, but it was not an easy transition. The physical and mental toll of pregnancy and childbirth took a toll on her game.

“I struggled a lot with my swing and my confidence after coming back from my pregnancy,” Lee shared. “It was tough to see my game not at the level it used to be. But I had to remind myself that my body had gone through a lot, and it would take time to get back to where I was.”

Lee also opened up about the challenges of balancing motherhood and a professional golf career. She admitted that it has been a juggling act, but she is fortunate to have a supportive partner in Trey and a strong support system.

“It’s not easy being a mother and a professional athlete, but I have a great team behind me,” Lee said. “Trey has been amazing, and my family and friends have been a huge help. I couldn’t do it without them.”

Lee’s struggles with returning to the LPGA Tour after her pregnancy are not uncommon. Many female athletes face similar challenges when trying to balance motherhood and their careers. However, Lee hopes to inspire other women to pursue their dreams, even after becoming mothers.

“I want to show other women that it is possible to have a successful career and be a mother at the same time,” Lee said. “It’s not easy, but it’s worth it. I hope my story can motivate and empower other women to chase their dreams, no matter what obstacles they may face.”

Lee is now looking forward to the next chapter in her life – motherhood. She is excited to welcome her baby into the world and is determined to continue playing golf at the highest level.

“I am so excited to become a mother and start this new journey with Trey,” Lee said. “But I am also determined to continue playing golf and competing on the LPGA Tour. I know it won’t be easy, but I am ready for the challenge.”

As Lee prepares for the arrival of her baby, she is grateful for the love and support she has received from the golf community. She hopes to return to the tour stronger and better than ever, both as a golfer and a mother.

The golf world is eagerly awaiting the birth of Lee and Trey’s baby, and we cannot wait to see the new mom back on the course, inspiring others with her determination and resilience. We wish Alison Lee and her growing family all the best for this new chapter in their lives.
