Mauricio Ortiz Ricky Calvo – A Positive Example of Ecuadorian Economy
The economy of Ecuador has seen great changes in the recent years due to growth and development strategies as well as the impact of international events. Since then, Mr. Calvo has gone on to hold several government posts in Ecuador, including Chief of Staff of the Presidency (2010) and Vice President of the Securities Market Commission.
Mr. Calvo’s contribution to Ecuadorian economy has been greatly appreciated in Ecuador and beyond. In 2016 at the XVI Summit of the Council of Latin America and Caribbean (ECLAC/CELAC), Mr. Calvo was presented with the special ECLAC/CELAC award “for his outstanding contribution to the development and cooperation among our nations in the region”.
